I’m Looking for a Loved One

We Are Here to Help You

If your loved one is missing in action (MIA), a prisoner of war (POW), or has fallen in the war in Ukraine (KIA), you are not alone.

We know how overwhelming, frightening, and painful this situation is. Many families are left with little information, conflicting messages, and long periods of silence. Our role is to guide you, support you, and help you navigate the complex process of searching, identifying, and, when possible, bringing your loved one home.

We cannot promise immediate answers. But we promise to take your case seriously, to treat it with respect, and to walk this path with you.

let us help you

What We Can Do for You

When you contact us, we can help you:

  • Understand what steps to take and in which order

  • Guide you toward the appropriate Ukrainian and international organizations

  • Help you prepare and structure your file

  • Explain procedures related to searches, confirmations, DNA identification, and repatriation

  • Help you understand replies from institutions and what the next steps mean

We work in coordination with existing humanitarian and institutional actors. We do not replace them — we help you access them and understand them.

Every situation is different, but in general the journey follows these steps:

How the Process Works

1 Information Collection

You provide us with all the information you have about the person you are looking for.

2 Orientation & Guidance

We review your case and guide you toward the correct channels and procedures.

3 Administrative & Humanitarian Steps

This may include official registers, humanitarian organizations, DNA procedures, or legal processes.

4 Follow-up & Support

We remain available to help you understand responses, next steps, and possible outcomes.

Before You Submit Your Request

Please keep in mind:

The more complete and precise the information you provide, the better we can guide you.

Searches and procedures can take weeks or months, sometimes longer. Unfortunately, this is normal in this context.

We will always be honest with you about what is possible and what is not.
